Holder 20 Standard Rudder
The first customer sent his original (broken) rudder up and requested that a replacement be made that was lighter and stronger with a more refined foil section, while keeping to the original planform to meet one-design rules.
The replacement was done with a substantial carbon fiber layup over a balsa core – balsa being chosen over foam due to its higher compressive strength.

Holder 20 HA Rudder
Our first Holder 20 customer was a tinkerer. After first ordering a superlight version of the original, he then came back and requested a more modern shape to use when racing non-OD. It was very much a success for him, and there has been some talk of wider acceptance within the class.
