I550

NEW!  i550 Spars!

We commissioned Eric Sponberg to design a mast for us.   Done with a proper spar section, in autoclave-cured female tooling, structurally the design features primarily unidirectional carbon fiber.

The boom is an elliptical section, and we can build whatever you want for the sprit.

The first set was set up for gnav rather than vang.

I550 Rudder

If you’re building an i550, come to us for your foils! Building the blades can be one of the most time consuming parts of the job. Our rudder is the right shape, and is available in various stages of completion. The rudder shown is configured for a lifting cassette, but can also be supplied with fittings for direct attachment to your transom. Please see our brochure for our full list of i550 offerings.

Thought I would drop you both a note to let you know that the keel strut and cassette rudder you designed for my i550 are working great. Even in low wind conditions the strut tracks well. The boat is very lively under sail but she settles in and is a blast to sail.

I550 Rudder Cassette

This cassette matches our lifting rudder blade and accepts a tube tiller. Please see our brochure for our full list of i550 offerings.

Received the strut yesterday afternoon. Looks great. Everything arrived fine with no damage.
I will be getting with you in a week or two to get started on the cassette/rudder assy. Great job to you both and your crew!!!
